  1. The sad thing is that the photo actually isn’t doctored in any way. McCain actually had to SAY that at a “town hall” type rally the other day. He actually found himself in the position of having to stick up for Obama a little, and when he did, his own people–you guessed it–STARTED BOOING!

Really sad…but I’m glad McCain took the high-road, and that actually made me respect him a little.

  2. What and you respect Obama???

Just another politician. All they care about is getting power for their respective Parties at the expense of the US.

If only Obama had had the courage to “stick up for” America, white people and Jews when his pastor and mentor, Rev. Wright, was spewing racist hate from the pulpit.
If only he had had the judgment to avoid terrorist scum like Wm. Ayers and criminals like Tony Rezko.

The people in the audience were booing McCain’s assumption that Obama, or anyone else with a history of associating with criminals, racists, communists and anti-semites, was honorable. Given Obama’s history I’d say it’s certainly an open question.

  4. Oh for Christ-sake…a Liberal says he respects McCain and that’s a springboard for this kind of crap.

I’m calling “Obama effigy burning” by next week.

  5. Daily Show had the best take on this last night. The GoP has created a monster by pushing this whole “terrorist/muslim” bullshit with Obama. And now, it’s out of control.

People seriously believe that Obama is “best friends” with a guy who USED TO BE, OVER 25 YEARS AGO one of the hundreds of people so upset over the Vietnam War that they took violent, illegal actions against our government. Given what you should know of this country’s history, this wasn’t some rogue ‘terrorist’. He was a 20-something anti-vietnam protestor who went beyond the actions of his peers (you know, those mobs of students who protested and got beat up by riot cops.) He went to prison for it and served his time. Fast forward to when he actually MET Obama, in a college campus working on a community project. Raise your hand if you had EVER heard of Bill Ayers before this election. Now explain to me how Obama, (who was 8 yrs old at the time) was supposed to know who this man was.

Exactly. And unless you condemn and discard your friends as soon as you found out they commited and serveed time for a crime in their past, then who are you to judge him?

As for the Muslim/Christian thing, who cares? End of the day, are you really so extreme in your hatred of non-christians that you will pass off and discard any candidate who may not be Christian? Should this even being an arguing point?

The fact that this lady said “he’s Arab” and McCain corrected her by saying “no he’s a decent guy…” says that McCain sees all arabs as NON decent people. Let me put it in perspective. If I say “he’s black” and your reply is “no he never steals cars” what does that say about you?
