Blazing Saddles has long been a movie classic of our family. We watch it every time we make a trip, and we have the lines memorized. It’s nice to see that someone else appreciates it.
Some great scenes & quotes in that movie!
Here are a few of mine I need to see every once in a while…
~”The Gods Must Be Crazy” (just odd)
~”Pushing Tin” -Billy Bob Thornton, Jolie, Cusak (comedy/drama)
~”The Abyss” -Ed Harris (sci-fi/drama)
~”The ‘Burbs” -Bruce Dern, Tom Hanks (dark comedy)
~”Space Cowboys” -Eastwood, Sutherland, James Garner, Tommy Lee Jones (sci-fi)
(I know, weird list. Well, I’m weird.)
your fav movie? Good pick.
excuse me while I whip this out
It makes me so sad that a movie like this couldn’t be made in today’s time with all this “political correct” worry about offending people. They offended Everyone, so it was still fair! ;D
Every time I see this movie (which I watch without subtitles, because this move helped me pass my French class) it makes me smile.
Hi, Jonco!
I have been enjoying your site for a year or so (two?), and am catching up on several days without a visit.
Since “Blazing Saddles” is your favorite movie (I have enver seen it), you might be interesting in knowing that film music label La-Land released a limited edition of the score (John Morri’s whole music and the songs): http://www.lalalandrecords.com/BlazingSaddles.html
(I don’t work for them, I’m just a film music lover)
