I’d imagine he lived through it–though I’m sure some Snopes addict will try to prove me wrong. Those cabs are pretty well designed, and the front tearing off like that isn’t necessarily as horrific as it looks.
…but either way…why would he think he could make that???

the bar came down on the trailor and for some reason he stopped, he should have floored it when the signals started, which i believe was too late for him to stop
UNFORTUNATELY, he probably survived that. Just one more moron adding his genes to our pool.

When I was in high school, our bus was right behing a truck that did this. Luckily the train was only going 35mph, but still tor the rear wheels off the trailer and sent them flying about 300 ft down the siding! Convinced me never to race a train.
That train was HAULING!
