I made it back home. Had an uneventful flight, which is the preferred kind. I wasn’t sure I was going to leave Tampa on time as there were several heavy rain showers that hit around 4 to 6 pm. Several flights were delayed, but mine got out on time. Actually, I almost missed it. I was busy posting to B&P, making up for the lost time when I couldn’t get access at my hotel in Port Charlotte. By the time I got to the gate my flight was loading.
Anyway, I’m sorry there were so few posts the last couple of days. Luckily, I had a couple magazines… and I got some well needed naps in, in between my visits with my aunt.
On the way to the airport I met up with a B&P reader, Jody and we had a nice lunch at Applebees in Apollo Beach. He’s had a very interesting life. He designed custom wheelchairs and apparatus for the handicapped. He had worked with Christopher and Dana Reeves while doing that. He has since sold his company and is enjoying life and playing music with his band Warehouse Rockers (below) while looking for his next adventure.
Jody, it was a pleasure meeting you….. and thanks for lunch! (I could get used to that.)
Jody is the drummer (last one on the right).. very nice guy.
Ooooh…THAT’S why he’s holding those drumsticks. Thanks for pointing that out.
