Yes, but what happens when the vehicle falls inside the water and all the electrical parts stop working? How is the door going to open?
Bump my truck door and put a dent in it and I can still open it. Wonder what it would take to put these doors out of commission?
We had an old Chevy Kingswood wagon that had a tailgate that did the same thing. It’s about time someone put it up front. Since home builders can’t seem to be able to make a garage so that you can easily get in and out of a car, this would be great.
BTW, if your car goes under water, it’s nearly impossible to open the doors anyway. And, there’s been vehicles on the road for years that could have similar failures if the door gets dented, such minivans with power sliding doors. This car door is pretty much the same thing as a minivan sliding door. I’d buy one.

makes one wonder how often one parks in a lake…
And what do you think about this one?

I think that it is the other extreme!
You’re right Giliopllas, I can kind of see a point to the disappearing doors, but there is no point at all to the car with the spinning back doors:)
