We drove about 40 minutes to Sarasota. Our choices today were a Ringling Brothers Circus Art Museum or the beach. Guess which won! These pictures are from Lido Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. The temperature was about 84F, but the water was chilly.
We spent a couple hours just jumping and playing on the beach and in the surf. The water was cold until you got used to it… or you became numb from the cold.
We had a great time as you can see.
I love going driving downtown! You never know what crazy work of “ART” your going to run across. You know you drove right past the most beautiful beach in the country on your way to Sarasota (Casperson) I hope your aunt is doing well and that your Granddaughter had a great time (she is a cutiepie btw). Can’t believe she was in that water, it feels like ice to me.
St. Louis…
Low Monday Night…13
Low Tuesday Night…14 (blustery/snowy)
Low Wednesday Night…14
ENJOY THE WARM!!
I’ll take the “chilly” ocean compared to Chicago’s 6-going-down-to-zero tonight!!!
(west coast / Oregon) 62 and sunny yesterday on a bike ride, went to the coast the day befor in 60 degree F. sun was awesome… should hit you folks back east in a few days…
The Ringling Museums (there are several on the ground) are quite good.
There is one building with a one-mile square minature circus layout that is amazing.
So is the antique auto museum right across the street from it.
Don’t bother with the Dali museum; its pretentious and not worth the $.
Another nice place to go is St.Armand’s Circle (a couple of miles south and west on Key Lido).
— I live on the east coast, but I have friends over in Bradenton I visit all the time…
Your grand-daughter is adorable!
Jeanne,
Thank you. I’m pretty fond of her myself. We had a great time.
