We had our first problem while sitting at the airport in St. Louis waiting for our plane. Lady Logan decided to show Grandpa how cool the combination lock on her luggage was. She locked it all up nice and tight and then when she tried to show me how it opens up…. you guessed it… it didn’t. Somehow she unknowingly changed the combination before she locked it. We were fortunate that she had her boarding pass in her backpack and not her suitcase. We would have been in big doodoo had she locked it up in there.
It was time to get on the plane so we figured we’d work on that problem when we got to Florida. When we got to our hotel, we called Mom & Dad to double check the combination… and as we thought, it didn’t work. Luckily it was a 3 digit combination…and more luckily after about twenty minutes of just rolling the numbers around and trying different combos I hit the jackpot. The lock opened. The combination wasn’t close to the one that was previously set. But, we got it open and now she has clean underwear for the duration of the trip.
Tomorrow will be a better day…. we hope.
LOL! We had a similar incident with my 12 year old nephew. It wasn’t luggage that he locked shut it was his pants!!!!!! He wandered into his sisters bedroom asking if she knew the combination. After much laughing and comments about ‘freeing Willy’ they got the thing undone. He’s 15 now and still gets teased about it!!
How was there a lock on his pants? I don’t get how that works. Lock pants?
Nice Photo.
Too bad it was taken during take off when ALL ELECTRONIC DEVICES are to be in the OFF position.
Ooooooo! I’m tellin’.
He had hooked the two belt loops (on his jeans) either side his zipper onto the padlock and shut it!
