Eclipse Over Missouri

I’m not sure where in Missouri this was taken, but it was too overcast here in St. Louis to see the solar eclipse. We had some storms roll through on Sunday evening.

The best place to see the eclipse was across Asia and parts of the western United States. It was the first solar eclipse visible in North America in nearly 18 years.

The eclipse was casting some strange shadows.

Live television has a habit of throwing up surprises – and “Daybreak“ (London) has had more than its fair share over the past few months.

However weather girl Lucy Verasamy was caught unawares when she went to present the forecast on Wednesday morning’s show.

The 30-year-old took viewers through a summary of cold air which was making its way towards the UK from Sweden – seemingly unaware that the arrows on the map were pointing towards intimate areas of her body.

SF Bay Bridge: Perfect Strike

They say that lightning never strikes twice, but this amazing photo proves otherwise.

An incredible eight bolts struck the Bay Bridge in San Francisco last night which was captured in this incredible shot by photographer Phil McGrew, who took the photo through the rain-soaked window of his apartment.

Mr McGrew, 49, was shocked at the striking image which shows the split-second moment of electric forks hitting the span of the bridge.

Hail of a Storm

We had a hail storm roll through at just about dusk.. Some pieces were at least as big as a golf ball, but most were smaller. The wind was pretty ferocious for a bit too.

The storm lasted for about 20 minutes and then crossed the river into Illinois. It’s been a really nice day up until now. The high reached 86°F which set a record for the date. They said there was an outside chance for rain today. But when it gets that warm anything can happen. More warm weather and storms predicted for tomorrow.

A quick look at my car didn’t reveal any damage, but I’ll give it a better look in the morning.

West Liberty KY Tornado
