Stanley Cup Parade & Rally

This is what 390,000 people look like as St. Louisans gathered on Saturday to celebrate the Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues in a parade and rally beneath the Gateway Arch.

The Blues won their first Stanley Cup after 52 years in the NHL. This was a proud time in St. Louis history. No major problems or arrests with a crowd that size is pretty much unheard of these days.

There were people, regular people or fans, who attended the parade that brought their own trash bags to help clean up after the parade.

I’m not a giant hockey fan (the puck is too small and too fast for me) but it was hard not to get into an excited state as the Blues kept winning and approaching the ultimate victory.

St. Louis is used to winning teams as our St. Louis Cardinals have won 11 World Series championships, but this was so much bigger as far as the city and state getting behind the team.
