  1. I would love to put that picture on Facebook, but every time I use the link to upload the animated gif, it does not work well. Any clue of what I’m doing wrong?

    • I found out that whatever you are using to host that picture must be the problem. You can see that link when trying to open the picture by itself on a separate tab. For some reason facebook does not like that. I had to take the picture, save it, host it in another site that allows for animated gifs, and then put it on facebook. That seemed to work.

      • It’s a standard ‘GIF file. I think the problem, if there is one, is that Facebook treats GIFs differently than it does JPEG files. Apparently, you need to add GIF’s in a different manner than regular images.

        To make them work, simply paste the URL of an animated GIF into Facebook’s “update status” field. You can then add text as usual. Uploading an animated GIF from your computer using the “add photos/video” function does not work at this time.

        • Therein lies the problem. If I use the link that comes out of your pictures, it will not work. If I host it elsewhere and use the new link, then it does. You cannot just “upload” an animated gif file to facebook (what you described) as it will just be a frozen regular picture with no movement.
