YouTube Tip

Youtube tipYouTube has made it so you can’t copy the About (or description) section under any YouTube video.  I do this often when posting a YouTube video when I want to add some info about the video to the post.

There is a way around this though.  If you right-click the About section and select Translate to English a window will pop up with the text in it.  you can copy the text from there and paste it where you need it.

  1. Thank you for the tip. I have a message board and use the about description too when posting videos. You saved me researching it.

    • I’m using Chrome. My research indicated it’s pretty much a universal change YouTube made. Glad you have a addon that works for Firefox. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I’m bummed. It doesn’t work for me. I use Internet Explorer and when I right click on About – my only options are “send to OneNote” (I don’t use) or “Select All” (which copies everything on the page. Not useful)
