Weekend Open Mic

Weekend open mic

Forecast jan 4Weather:  We’re in for a heap of winter weather the next few days.  The snow is supposed to start Saturday night and continue into Sunday leaving anywhere from 6 to 12 inches or more of the white stuff on the ground.  As the snow winds down Sunday afternoon or evening the bottom of the thermometer drops out as the temperature drops below zero Sunday night and all through Monday. They’re saying the wind chill will be between -15° and -30°F Monday night.  This will be the coldest it’s been here in twenty years. It looks like it will be Wednesday before the temperature gets back into the 20’s.  I’m definitely ready for spring.

Georgia gatheringWebsite issues:  It seems that I’m having trouble connecting to one of my other websites from my home IP address for some reason.  Apparently the site is up and running but I’m having trouble posting.  Hopefully the issue will resolve itself or I’ll find a way to resolve it shortly.

Georgia Gathering:  I’m sorry I wasn’t able to attend the gathering in Lawrence Georgia on Thursday evening when DJ Claus met up with Richard, Gary and Ariane, and Infidel.  DJ posted a couple of pictures on his Facebook page. I borrowed this one.

That’s what’s happening at B&P Headquarters in St. Louis.  What’s going on in your world?

does Richard have a twin? Jonco it was 20-ish outside and the wind almost blew us across the parking lot but we had a great time

Richard is a big guy… maybe he needs two names. In reality I had typed the names then I thought I should put then in the same order as they are seated L to R. For some reason I didn’t proofread it afterwards. I need to fire my proofreader. :-)

My team barely squeaks into the playoffs now they’re gonna have to play in the cold and snow? Oh we’re so screwed.

Well my heart bleeds for you guys, last year we had 1cm of snow and the whole of London ground to a standstill

  • Bella

MOVE NORTH! We’re the new Florida only warmer. Discount rates! ;)

    • Mary

See Bella? THIS is why you’re the Mayor — shrewd public relations, advancing tourism, stimulating population growth, and incentives with those discount rates! You’re awesome!

LOL Mary!!! Everyone listens to each other whine about weather, whether it is a drought or -40 and a blizzard. Right now my heart is going out to those that are not used to these weather conditions. Like -anything for some places is horrendous for some folk. Depends on your comfort zone. I kinda feel bad as up in buttsqueak B.C. it is only hovering around 0’ish, no more snow, not too cold, sun is in full bloom and kinda nice. I hauled in wood most of the day as we will get hit again and might as well do it on a nice day. A lot of people don’t even know how to drive in the snow and that’s when accidents happen. Mike Firesmith has never even seen a snowplow and I’m used to seeing them everyday. Good luck to you all that are getting a foot or more of snow. Slow down, brake easy and watch out for the other idiot for they are everywhere.

Yes, that’s me. The picture has been making the rounds on some of the larger sites in the last week or so.

We are having a heatwave in queensland, 118.4 degrees in places, only 104 where i am. Please send some snow.

  • Only 0 on Monday? The latest forecast is -14 in Chicago FOR THE HIGH TEMP.

  • Barbwire

Forecast for tomorrow is 75. Another day in paradise. Except, of course, that last year was the driest year on record, and we’ve got fire danger and serious drought.
