The hug of the century

The woman in the video found this lion injured in the forest and about to die. She took the lion with her and nursed the lion back to health. When the lion was better, she made arrangements with a zoo to take the lion and give it a new and happy home.

This video was taken when the woman, after some time had passed, went to visit the lion to see how he was doing.

Thanks Gene

  1. There are no wild lions in Colombia and never have been. Colombia does have cougars, jaguars, ocelots and margay cats, but no lions. So the story that a woman just happened to “find” a lion wandering around hurt in Colombia is absurd.
Lions are only found in Africa and continental Asia.

    The real story? Who knows?

  2. This is what actually happened
‘Ms Torres earned the affection of Jupiter, a 110kg (242lb) African lion, by nursing him back to health after rescuing him from a circus. He is one of about 800 maltreated residents at her Villa Lorena animal shelter in a poor suburb of the city.’

  3. Amazing hug, but there aren’t lions in colombian forests. lions are african animals and colombia is in south america 😉
