  1. About dousing:

In ’75 I helped my father in law build a house in the Matanuska valley in Wasilla,Alaska. He doused for water on his new land. I tried to get the same reaction from the stick, walking over the same area, that he did. when the well driller came, and got water at 30 feet, my father in law was elated, jumping up and down saying “I told you so!”
I talked to the well driller about it…he smiled. “We hit water everywhere we drill.” The Mat Vally is a glacial basin. sometimes the water has Iron, sometimes we find a few nuggets of gold on the way down, but you’re never going to be thirsty in a valley full of lakes. I just kept my mouth shut…I was married to his daughter.
