I also played golf one time in my life. It was on a public course at about 10 am and there were probably 50-60 other golfers standing around waiting for their tee time. I was so intimidated that it took three swings just to hit the damn ball. It went about 30 yards at about 3 feet off the ground. I went out on the fairway, picked up the ball, went to the parking lot, got in my Dad’s car and waited for him and his buddies to finish up. We never said another word about the experience…
Fortunately there was a light rain all day so there were few golfers out the day I played or I might have been just like you.
Sounds like you were playing my style of military golf Jonco (left, right, left, right).
I got my money’s worth that day. I played about every inch of that course. Somehow at one point the ball went through the golf cart (no one was sitting in it at the time). I will say in my defense that I’m left-handed and I was playing with borrowed right-handed clubs… and it was raining lightly.
LOL! At least he finally sunk that putt.
