  1. You mean like “Men in Black” (and its two sequels)? “Back to the Future”? “How to Train Your Dragon”? “Ice Age”? “Jumanji”? “Airplane!”? “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”? “The Life of Brian”? “The French Connection”? “The Italian Job”? “The Terminator”?

These are the movies I have on my computer or thought of that do not have the letter “S” in their title. I am sure there are others, though.

    • The first few I thought of were: “The Princess Bride”, “Miss Congeniality”, “Le voyage dans la lune”, and “Nosferatu”

        • I was responding to Tom having an issue with thinking of a film with an “S” in its title; see my first reply (way up top – FIRST!) with some films without “S” in their titles.

  2. Tora Tora Tora, Marty, Runaway Bride, Airport, Gladiator, The Matrix, Fahrenheit 451, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Avatar, The Dark Knight, Finding Nemo, Annie Get Your Gun, Attack of the Fifty-Foot Woman…

  3. Okay, let’s revisit this one. A movie without the letter ‘s’ in it. Let’s take ‘in’ as the operative word, meaning: the letter ‘s’ never appears in the screenplay, no actor utters the sibilant sound.

Still rather easy: any silent film (without the captions).

    • I’m glad you posted this because that’s the first thing I thought… I guess I’m used to looking for the ‘trick’ answer first — not sure what it means to be that skeptical of questions

  4. “Citizen Kane” (who knows movies and does NOT think of that one?!)
“The Godfather”, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”
“Twilight”, “Brazil”, “Twilight Zone, The Movie”, “Robocop”, “Crocodile Dundee”, “The Blob”, “Batman”, “X-Men”, “Fight Club” (but not talking about it), “Inception”, “Repo Man”, “Repo Men”, “Vertigo”, “WALL-E”, “Marnie”, “To Catch a Thief”, “Fenzy”, ” Full Metal Jacket”, “The Godfather Part II”, ” A Clockwork Orange”, “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari”… I could do this all day.

  5. 12 Angry Men
    The Number 23
    The Lion King
    The Little Mermaid
    Black Hawk Down
    8 Mile
    The Italian Job
    The Godfather
