    That was almost a great explanation.

    A creature’s DNA or genetic structure does not change once created. So when hatched, a chicken is a chicken or it’s not. So if it is a chicken, that means the egg came first.

    I never understood why this was so perplexing?

    This is a over-explained evolution story dumbed down for kids.
    But there are some points
    First of all, the proto-chicken no longer exists.
    However, the wolf does. You can argue there are evolutionary
    trees all you want, but without existing prototypes, there is nothing to go on.

    I say the frying pan came first.
