  • More guns means better people.

More guns in this case, meant a more deader killer! And nobody died ‘cept the perp!

  • Bikebreath

    How idiotic some people are.

  • Grog

I think it’s a pretty safe bet that this was a suicide attempt. Police shouldn’t be shot at any more than children or firefighters but at least this guy was outgunned and knew it. Pretty stupid too if he meant to commit suicide. He might have just been wounded and then locked up forever.

To the 4 commenters above: did you even bother reading the article before forming an opinion?

The perpetrator did not bring a gun into the police station. He grabbed it after overpowering an officer when he was being booked for stalking.

This has nothing to do with pro/anti gun control, suicide-by-cop, or any other social/mental issue. The guy was just a violent moron.

Srsly people, take 2 f*kng minutes to read and know the facts of the situation before you start making assumptions out of thin air to promote your own ideological agendas.

This includes you too Jonco. I think the NRA’s solution is idiotic, but this story is not even sarcastically relevant to that issue. You are just stirring up controversy where there is none – and possibly making the families of those innocent officers feel like sh*t too. Shame on you.

Uh, Grog, did you even bother to read the news about this one or did you just decide to imagine the details? The individual in question was taken into custody regarding an abuse charge (probably one of the good guys with guns looking out for bad guys with guns). He became argumentative in custody and grabbed one officer’s gun, shooting three otherwise armed officers.

I know these kind of facts are troublesome to your pre-determined tale, so go ahead back to your story and we’ll just look the other way.

    • Geo

Geezer, Grog wasn’t the only one pulling stuff from a magic hat. It’s what you get from the knee jerk cretin prattle crowd, it’s the usual illusion they live by.

Anyone who was paying attention would know that this creep was arrested for domestic violence and while being booked and processed over powered a female officer and got her weapon, then proceeded to shoot the Cops who interceded. So it would be safe to conclude that he liked beating up on women, only the second time he decided to do it, was with a Cop with a gun. Too bad for him, the second time, the Calvary was in the next room and eliminated the threat with minimum damage. Unlike what would’ve happened in a Gun Free Zone.

However if we were to follow their usual logic [hum, hum] we would either eliminate the guns from the Cops or just the Cops themselves. Juss so this wouldn’t happen again and of course ignore the actual cause of the problem. The asshole himself!

If he was a decent shot (in a situation the NRA imagines where everyone owns a gun knows how to use it) he could have easily killed several police officers before he was killed. It was by pure luck that no one else was killed. I’m sure if there were LOTS more guns the death rate by guns would be so much lower. Sigh….

Whoa! Okay I read too much into the title but you guys are awfully touchy for this site.

    • Old Geezer

Funny, I’ve never noticed it being called “…awfully touchy…” when someone notices that a commenter just starts going off in all directions without bothering with the basic facts of the story. You do understand, don’t you, that a news story has more content than just the headline?

  • Sander

Wow. Owned doesn’t even begin to describe what just happened here. LOL.
