Weekend Open Mic

Weekend open mic

It’s been a hectic week for me.  Here it is 12:20 am and I’m trying to burn a DVD for a Christmas program for a party tomorrow night… err… tonight.  This seems to happen every year for me.  My test DVD worked Ok but needed some fine tuning.  After the fine tuning it won’t play correctly.  Very frustrating.

I’m not sure how much will be posted today… but things will get somewhat back to normal on Sunday.

That’s all I have at the moment.  What’s on your mind this last weekend before Christmas?

What are you gonna do in the next week or so that you won’t do in 2013?
And, how much money are you willing to bet that you keep that promise.

Using a 2012 calendar, etc. is not an answer.

  • I officially started “The Pledge of 28″ as my New Year’s resolution. I am up to 2 new contacts so far. I am also looking for more information on this old photo. It seems innocent enough, but I want to know what’s happening.

Happy Christmas to all BnP folks everywhere. (or whatever you celebrate)

Greg, your photo looks like turn #3 at Daytona International Speedway, before they put the pavement down. Just kidding, But it does seem that most all those old photos that I have ever seen looks like the same people, even those folks that claimed to be in my own family.

      • lol J! I was thinking turn #2. Someday the Internet will be my R&D, Think tank, and foresics department – almost is – i’m just trying to speed the plow. Funny how every looks the same in these photos, though, will something similar be said 100 years from now about Facebook? (oh, wait future self just popped in and said to remove a few pics from there…gotta go!)

I’m in Vancouver for the night as I didn’t make it in time for a flight home. Just had a merry drive through the Fraser Canyon in a shit snow storm. 3 accidents on a short stretch, 2 were fairly bad. Hell’s Gate in the canyon was so damn slippery that all traffic was slowed down to 35-40 MPH.Awsome drive in the summer but Hell in the winter.

Friends of mine must have passed you Steve and they said the same thing. You’re safe and sound now, so are they.

Bored to death, class is out, derp.

  • Spending time with family and friends….. looking forward to good ol’ fashion Spanish style Christmas………….

I finally have a FULL day off from both jobs! I will catch up on B&P and finish my Christmas shopping.

Dog sitting, and wondering why the sweetest golden retriever went all alpha and attacked the latest dog, a beautiful husky almost twice the size of the golden. I had to keep them separated until it was time for the golden to go home. Turns out he’s not neutered, so I guess that explains it.

It’s now 1:46 am on Sunday. Our Christmas party was good. I got about 3 hour so sleep last night and a 15 minute nap on Saturday. I hope I can sleep now. I’m betting I don’t sleep in too long though.
I have some Christmas shopping to do and then try to catch up on B&P.

I am about as pooped as I can get. Have a good day everyone!

Checked on my flight and every flight is on time, except for a canceled flight to San Francisco. I think I will be at the airport 2 hours ahead of flight, not 1 like they ask. It will be crazy in there. Merry Christmas to all, and don’t drink too much egg-nog.

Uhg. I hate Chrismas. Is it OK to say that? The same music/TV/everything every year. All business grinds to a halt for the better part of a month, it is impossible to get anything done. People buying more crap that they don’t need ance can’t afford. Annoying family camping out talking about the same shit they’ve been talking about all year…. I going to hide out in my shop until Jan. 3.
Too bad the mayans got it wrong…..
    Bah Humbug

I believe you have the right to hate Christmas but how sad! It’s my favorite time of year…people being nicer to each other, the Christmas lights, spending time with family, reconnecting with friends, and, of course, celebrating Jesus’ birthday. I do agree that it’s become way too commercialized and that many people overspend, but there are so many positives to focus on! Merry Christmas!

I’m with you weaselfarmer, I hate it as well. Same old same old. Too commercial, everyone is too artificial, I hide away in my house and try not to come out til after New Years.

This year I was smart and put in for my vacation in Feb. I took off from the 17th of Dec. thru the 3rd of Jan. Hahahaha. Everyone I work with was all mad and butthurt. Shoulda got there first!!! Bwaa haha haha.

        Hope you went somewhere warm……

      • For two people that hate (dislike) xmas you are not only announcing your position, you are confessing that you have been completely defeated by it (by yourselves, actually). One serves out his sentence imprisoned in his shop, the other self-excommunicated. In a word WOW! Thank you , I guess, for telling us where you will be so we can find you. But then I have to ask…Why did you tell us? I am not troubled by it, but I recommend 2 doses of “A Christmas Carol” with Alistair Sim – 1951. It’s the one that’s considered closest to Dickens’ text. After viewing it, I hope you will rejoin the human race next Xmas season. We are not perfect..actually a pretty goofy bunch, but we somehow manage to pretend things aren’t as bad as they are by falling into the fantasy of the moment. Try it, yule like it.
