The USA has the second lowest marginal tax rate on average income workers? What a crock! Their statistics don’t include the state taxes. It was just another puff piece so when our taxes go up on 1/1/2013 (Obamacare & the end of Bush tax rates), we won’t feel bad about it. Guess what? We’re Taxed Enough Already, we need to stop spending!
My faith in humanity is not restored, the young police officer who bought boots for the homeless man did bring tears to my eyes however. I’ve always felt you could kind of judge how a person was by how they treat those weaker than themselves, whether it be animals, children, or in that case, someone in need. That is an example in my eyes of a good man, a hell of a man.
I also thought the virtual wall was kind of neat, I found my second cousin on it, I had no idea he had only been in country for 6 months when he was killed. They have quite a bit of information.
Thanks for the post about the Virtual Wall Memorial. It allowed me to reconnect with a cousin that was killed in Khanh Hoa Province, South Vietnam in 1968. It seems like so many lifetimes ago, until you look at his picture. R.I.P. J.M.B., you are still missed. Fuck war.
