Seems like a lot of work for an imprecisely cooked turkey.
Keeping Girl Guides and Scouts busy since 1909!
Is that a galvanized can?
In rural Thailand they used to cook a chicken like this, but by rapidly burning straw around the outside. Supposedly the inside of the can radiated “microwaves” focused on the chicken and cooked it in about 10 minutes.
I wouldn’t eat that turkey. I wouldn’t want to stand down wind of the fire as it was cooking. Metal trash cans are coated with zinc. The high heat will burn it off and the smoke will be thick with the metal. NOT healthy.
I need to make a video for these people on how to cook a turkey in an oven.
No stuffing, no gravy, why bother?
P.S. gravy from a can, jar or packet is not gravy. Same for stuffing.
Too much work, too much mess, too imprecise. I’ll pass on this one.
