  1. I know an older guy that had retired but wanted to keep busy. After applying at Wal-Mart, he got a job in the back assembling bicycles, swing sets and whatever needed assembling. He did a good job and they were very pleased with his work ethic.

    He cut his hand badly at work and required several stitches, and after a couple days off was eager to get back to work. His supervisor decided that he needed to do something else until his hand had healed and arranged for him to be a greeter. A job he wasn’t really meant for, as he didn’t have advanced people skills.

    His greeting amounted to “Here! You want a damn buggy?”
    They quickly sent him back to the assembly area and told him to do the best he could.
