We got about 3–4 inches of snow overnight here in St. Louis. I’m sure the grocery stores were rushed last night. They’re predicting another storm over the weekend.

as to why people run out and buy all the milk, bread and eggs, it is a mystery. I think it is an outright conspiracy between the titans of the grocery industry and the weather prognosticators.
plus, you know that you’ll be trapped inside for a year, and they will NEVER bake bread or milk a cow again. EVER. We’re all gonna DIE without these products.
as for me, near Boston today and expecting 18 inches of snow tomorrow, as long as we have enough vodka and cranberry… life is good.
LOL… Sounds like you’re ready. I have a friend that lived in Cape Cod. You guys should be used to all that. Here, it seems that when we get a couple inches and they have special emergency weather programs and close most of the schools.
Snowing hard here too. I’m all stocked up on nachos, bacon, ketchup, and squirt cheese.
But boy could I go for some French toast.
Alabama got more snow the other day than the past five years combined; they’re calling it the Snowpocalypse. Here in Chicago, they’re calling it Tuesday.
I recommend stocking up on white wine, too.

Let me ‘splain it again. Here in Georgia, we have weather like this so seldom that the state does not spend much money on snow removal. There are like 16 snow plows for the entire state. Then add the one inch of ice that fell on top of the snow and you have winter in the South…

I’ve never heard you’re supposed to rush all the supermarkets buying up eggs, milk, and bread like the Y2K virus is gonna get ya!!
Oh yeah. And on the evening news they have a live report showing the empty shelves and the lines at the checkouts.
It’s not that you’re supposed to, it’s just that everyone does. It’s so strange…happens everydamntime a winter storm warning is issued.
I’ve lived in Pennsylvania and Oklahoma and it’s the same thing.
I guess it’s one of those urban superstitions that we pass on to new generations regardless of validity.
Egg and milk delivery trucks will be delayed a few hours due to weather, so buy ‘em all out now!
