I did seem to use a lot more gas than I thought I would…
Heck I’m just about as bad. Drove so fast that I was within a few hundred feet of the babbq but ended up in Alton, Illinois. But in my case it was worth it.
Actually, I went that way on purpose. I visited Merimec Caverns and Route 66 State Park Friday morning.
I’m just glad that you found out that you didn’t cross the Mississippi River twice on the way to Alton…
