Google Search changes the way images are displayed

Google has changed the way images are displayed in it’s image search screen.

Google image search

The main thing I like about it is that you no longer have to click to view another page of images … the pages just scroll on down the screen.  That’s the main reason I switched to Bing when searching for images.  When you hover your mouse over an image to get a larger preview and info about the image.

  1. every time i’ve tried it only the first ten pictures load and the rest are blank..that’s with 4800 download speed, have to keep hitting reload

  2. I tried it and it’s still the old 20 images per screen and I have to click on to go a page forward. This supposedly new way of displaying images doesn’t seem to be a reality. It is a nice idea, though. Perhaps one day they will actually change to a format more like that which is mentioned above.

    • It works just fine for me. Page after page just about as fast as I can scroll down. I’m on DSL and not the fastest version of it either.

  3. I think it has to do with the country…I’m Canadian, so it automatically goes to google.ca for me, and the format above didn’t work…However, I tried going to google.com and it did work. I’m guessing they will update it for all countries soon enough, just trying it on the original site first.

  4. Odd that of all the things (and big pairs of “things”) that you could think of, you searched images for pigs.
