“This is often referred to as the first interracial kiss on US television, however that milestone actually took place when Sammy Davis, Jr. and Nancy Sinatra kissed briefly on the variety program Movin’ With Nancy in December 1967″
Its funny it not only wasn’t the first inter-racial kiss on tv, it wasn’t the first on star trek. One of the glittery eyed alien chicks was actually an asian.
split infinitives are only debatable non-grammatically correct.
Split infinitives are NOT gramatically incorrect. English literature at all levels is rife with split infinitives and is considered correct usage both in the UK and US. http://bit.ly/ToSplitorNottoSplit
No one even considered this subject until a Church of England minister (likely of the ilk who are currently promoting sharia law in England) decided Lating grammar rules should apply to English. In Latin, it is impossible to split the infinitive form of a verb simply because it is a single word. Hence, the English infinitive must be treated as a single word and not be able to have a word inserted.
“What?” you are thinking, “That’s un-freaking-believable!”
Change of subject: What’s your favorite line from a Star Trek? One of mine is “I was getting to it”, spoken by Tucker in ST:Enterprise. Can anyone tell me what he was getting to?
I can alternate between splitting the fingers between my index/middle finger and ring/pinky finger then back to the Vulcan salute then back again really fast, both hands at the same time. I can also do other things, like move my head over my shoulders while they are still. I’ve dislocated my elbows three times, my right thumb, my knees…
Well, if you can do all that with your fingers, head, shoulders, and who knows what else you got goin on there, I’d give you an autographed whatever-you-want too.
I can do the Vulcan salute equally well with either hand. I thought the thing about Zachary Quinto having to glue his fingers was pretty funny, if it’s true.

I like to boldly split infinitives that no man has split before.
My favourite line was when Data said that a woman had kissed him in the torpedo bay.
Isn’t “torpedo bay” a code for a man’s butt?
LOL! Future Newlywed Game: “Where’s the most unusual place you’ve ever had sex?” “Well, that would have to be Uranus, Bob.”
I can do the Vulcan salute easily with my left hand but not at all with my right. (I’m right handed.)

Star Trek (and Star Wars) = loosers
The only thing we loosen is out imagination
Looser than spelling (or grammar) skills?
I met Karl Urban this year and he gave me an autographed Star Trek cap cause he thought I was funny.

It’s true if you believe ZQ.
Majel Barrett had nothing to do with 4 of the movies.
Split infinitives are not considered bad grammar, at least not anymore.
Majel Barrett has played the computer voice on each episode and movie, as far as I know.
I met Marina Sirtis she has a great sense of humor and a great rack
And if that’s what counts in a chick why am I still single? Must be my good looks…
