I’m going to refrain from replying to Jeff’s comment right now because I don’t think it would be pleasant.
I have been a loyal viewer for many years….I found your site by Googling “poking the bear”! A group of co workers were discussing another co worker and someone said dealing with her was like poking a bear! We all have a habit of trying to find relevant pictures for our emails…..that’s why I was searching for poking the bear! Anyway you had a wonderfull picture of a bear with a hole to poke and I have been in love with your site ever since…..I found a copy of the picture and the link makes me suspect she stole the very same picture I found on your site so many years ago!

No, it is a different host for B&P than for Naughty Bits. Completely different.
Jonco, you have my sincere sympathy. Can your host track down who infiltrated the site? I wish I could advise you on how to prevent future hacking. Anyone? Anyone?

I’m getting some good advice and help from Maffu. We’ve taken steps to make it more secure.
I’ve only rarely had any luck getting assistance from hosts. I wouldn’t count on that at all.

My deepest sympathy Jonco. I’ve been visiting your site for years, and will continue to do so. As far as I’m concerned, it’s not all the peripheral stuff that makes this site great, it’s the man behind it. Hang in there. You have a lot of loyal fans.

I thought it was the rapture!
i ended up going into the Apple store to figure out how to get out of it. It ruined my morning.
I had the same problem and nearly gave up on blogging. My funny blog was infected with a trojan and I didn’t realize the problem until my readers told me.
Unfortunately, I have no way of eradicating the problem even after seeking advice from my web host except to delete the wordpress application and reinstall again.
Stupid me didn’t do a good job of restoring database and one year of content was lost in the process.
I hope you won’t face the same problem…
