how can the model t thing be true,I have never used a parking brake and I have never had transmission problems
I think it means that since then no other make or model has accounted for two thirds of the cars in the world.
Strange how the Moon has moved closer since cars were invented.
I always use the parking brake. Got into the habit of doing it in SanFran.
I wonder why the Tata Nano isn’t available here in the U.S. for purchase? Gets great gas mileage, seems to have a great price, hmmmm.
I think there was a recent announcement that Tata Nano is going to be sold in the US, but the required safety improvements and whatever else it needs will boost the price up around 3x what they sell for in India. Plus I’m sure they’ll intentionally do something to it to purposely bring down the mileage. No matter what they do to it, I’ll never sit in one.
Emission controls and what nots I’m sure will help drive up the price and down the gas mileage, besides all the safety features.
I live in Switzerland and I’ve never heard of it being illegal to slam your car door….
The parking brake thing applies when you’re actually on a hill and there is strain on the parking pawl (though your brake may rust shut if you set it only once in a while).
That “half an ounce to start your car made me do some math. It’s only 2-1/2 ounces to push your car a mile at 25 mpg!
