It’s pure and simple animal cruelty. I suppose it’s a good thing that PETA doesn’t exist in Russia.
FWIW, I prefer the alternate PETA: people eating tasty animals.

Some people misunderstand her behaviour as a “very generous person”, instead of a sick person who needs treatment. The woman is sick of her mind, obviously! Can you imagine the smell of cat urine into the house? Bleargh!
