Thinking of Benjamin

BenjaminOur thoughts and prayers today for B&P reader Isiah’s son Benjamin who is undergoing surgery this morning.  Isiah writes:

His name is Benjamin he is 15 months old. The procedure is non-life threatening but somewhat serious. We will be getting him ready at about 6 am and hope to have him home by Thursday afternoon. They have told me he will recover in about 10 days. I appreciate if you can have him in your prayers. Thank you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Isiah.

Isiah – I pray that everything goes well and Benjamin is back to his normal self soon.

    Take care.

Good luck. Make sure you take care of yourself and your wife through this, because babies are very resilient and you’ll probably stress more than the cute little feller. And if you have other kids, remember to give them a special hug as well.

  • Good luck! I’m sure everything will be fine. My daughter goes in for surgery next week so I KNOW what you are thinking and feeling. Just know that he is in good hands. Take a breath and say a prayer.

Isiah, be strong, it’s all going to be alright.

Best wishes to Benjamin having a safe surgery and quick recovery – and to his parents for keeping faith that Benjamin is going to be just fine!

Thank you all for your kind words. I have come home from the hospital to watch my other son. Ben’s surgery lasted only an hour and a half and according to the doctor it was textbook. He has a follow-up in June. Currently he is very pissed, hungry, and tired. The bandages come off in 7 days. Thank you all again.

Dear Benjamin … now would be a good time to hit mom and dad up for some ice cream! Believe me, they’ll agree to anything. Come through safe, Benjamin!

To Isiah and Mrs. Isiah, take it easy. I know this is hard, but I’m sure it’ll be okay.

Good Luck Isiah! Both of my sons had somewhat serious medical conditions when they were infants. They recieved excellent care at Children’s Hospital in Buffalo (I assume your son will be there). My family and I will keep him in our prayers.
