HAHA, I use to work for the Department of Aging here in CA. Funny, they skipped the DOA label and went with CDA (CA Dept of Aging), because of the nature of its services…

When I was in high school in South Texas, the kids used to write “I’m going to S.P.I.T.” (South Padre Island Texas) in the dust on the sides of their cars. They’d then slowly drive past the school in the morning before driving away to spend a glorious day at the beach.
The hotel where I currently work (hopefully not for much longer…lol) uses a computerised system called PMS (Property Management System), and just like it’s namesake it causes irritation, short temperedness and pain…
For many years I always laughed going by a school in a subdivision of Fort Lauderdale, FL

I’ve heard pilots use two funny terms to describe things:
The first is “How many SOB’s do we have today?” Which actuatly stands for “souls on board”. I’ve actualy heard pilots use this before a flight and some old lady overhead and yelled at them “What did you call us!?” It was very funny. The second is “What’s our TOD going to be? It actuatly means “time of departure” (not death)
