He wasn't hungry. Probably had been hand-fed his whole life. After he first grabbed the deer it was almost like he looked around to expect to be yelled at be his attendant. What'd I do? I think it would be cool to see the lion eat the deer. It would also teach the children that carnivores eat animals. And if people think that is too intense for children, make sure they don't take their children to the San Diego Wild Animal Park--I was there after they gave a couple of vultures a dead albino rabbit for breakfast. It was fun to watch until the birds went for the eyes... DJ – that is a classic.

One thing that surprises me in this video are the sounds of small children.
