That is cute, but step 4 is wrong: money is not the root of all problems, it is the love of money that is the root of all evil–or problems.

This student should not have gotten an A+

Tim, Yeah, but money is still a root of problems, like meeting debts or paying for that gal ; whether you love that/her or not. So B+, cause a root need not be square either.

Im sure you married guys will agree

infidel – I did not say I disagreed with the answer, I just think the calculation is wrong.

JohnC – yes, money (or the lack thereof) can be a problem, but the student was referring to a Biblical verse and did so incorrectly. In the passage where “the love of money is the root of all evil” is, we learn that this is so because we can have only one master (in this case, God or our money/riches).

    it was just a joke

It should be Time + Money in step 1 but then rest wouldn’t work out.

Money is the root of all EVIL. Not problems. Women = Evil. Whoever changed that word from the original is an idiot.
