Reddit has a post asking that question. Here are a few of the answers:
- Sliding across my wood floor in my socks.
- Kicking loose rocks down the street, just to see how far they will go and where they will randomly change course.
- Making wings with my hand outside of the car window while I speed down the road.
- Don’t forget scrunching through huge piles of autumn leaves…
- Puddles! Oh, and the more adult version of veering slightly in the road for a puddle while driving to make a big whoooshy splash
- Every time I come to double doors without a bar in the middle, I throw both of them open at the same time and strut through.
- I pretend I use the force to open up automatic doors
- I jump over things as I’m walking down the street, just to see if I can.
- I like to trap people in revolving doors.
- I snap my fingers instead of use the force to make the doors open.
- Coming out of the bathroom stall with my pants around my ankles asking strangers to wipe me.
- I’m a fan of balancing on curbs instead of walking on the street.
- Every once in awhile I will go up the stairs on all fours.
- The best part of being a “grown up” is being able to buy candy and toys whenever I want. Seriously.
- The worst part of being “married” is not being able to buy candy and toys whenever I want. Seriously.
- I’m in my mid 40’s and still ride the shopping carts. My wife, of course, thinks I’m immature. She’s right.
- I still catch myself trying not to step on cracks on the sidewalk or on certain color tiles in the mall.
- I go around twice in revolving doors.
- I go up the down escalator.
- 42, and when no one is looking I still go up staircases 4-5 stairs at a time. Sometimes I get a running start to take as many as I can in one leap, 6 is the best I can do these days.
- When I see a small child sitting a lone in a shopping cart, with their mother way down the aisle looking the other way, I take things off the shelf and put them in the basket. Usually something like cookies.
What childhood activites do you still enjoy today?

Video games. I still enjoy the simple satisfaction of a long-distance sniper headshot kill on some unsuspecting bastard playing Halo or Call of Duty.
If the aformentioned unsuspecting bastard is my 16 year old son, then so much the better.

I’m almost 60 and, damn! I still do a few of those things! Sometimes it’s hard to let go of being a child… maybe we never should… especially kicking stones walking down the street…
I still make faces at people sitting across the room when I think no one else is looking.
So much the better if the person across the room is a child. I love it when I get away with it, and they get caught making a face back.
When I was 12, I used to beat up 11 year olds.
I still enjoy doing that.
Playing with my peepee
Drinking milk right out of the carton and putting it back in the fridge, and eating food straight from the pan. It sure cuts down on dirty dishes…
I have always loved video games and always will Grand Theft Auto 4 is the best game ever,I wanna try the double doors in the bar and strut on in
I was always told that when little girls grow up they become women, and when little boys grow up – they get bigger.
I believe you will find that explains everything.
Reading from an actual book, rather than off a monitor.
reading comics on internet
Writing my name in the snow….
dancing… I like to dance goofy in front of the group i coach at the high school… just to make them laugh.
I still love to eat Tater Tots on occasion.
Still love to watch Bugs Bunny, Foghorn Leghorn, Roadrunner, and Wil E.Coyote.
Last week I was caught by a heavy rain. I was walking cheerfully down the street and, just before my eyes, a large puddle was there waiting, for me. I started jumping in and out, enjoying myself like a small kid, until I saw a senior lady giving me the stinky eye from her rocking chair.
I stared at her, she stared at me. And then, I flipped her the bird and ran away like crazy.
any time I check into a hotel the first thing I do is jump on the bed, seriously, I wouldn’t jump on my own, but I jump on theirs until I’m out of breath. My friends think I’m fun to travel with.
The best thing about being a parent, except for the (insert heartfelt stuff about the joys of parenting), is getting to watch cartoons, play kids games, avoid stepping on cracks etc.. basically behave childishly without judgement!
i do at least 15 of these things. my pickup is a good puddlehopper. my son calls it a “big whoosh” when we hit one.
I love playing on the jungle gym. I met my friends and 6 year old Goddaughter at the zoo just so I had an excuse to run around like crazy pretending to be exhausted chasing after her, since I was the only one small enough to fit through all the tunnels.
going to a supermarket and getting a shopping trolley and running down the aisle, then jumping onto the back and riding it the length of the store until i crash into a convenient display of tinned goods.
46. I like to take the scenic route to work on my bicycle (cruiser), and marvel at the changing leaves along the way. I still step over tiles and cracks once in a while. I like to pretend I have control over traffic lights by predicting when they’ll change.
Jumping and hitting door frames or leaves that seem out of reach.
I am 61 and I still dance to songs like Paula Abduls’ “Straight Up”, my kids got it on video…that was over 20 years ago! I love to play practical jokes…Often when I’m in a department store with the hubby, I yell out, “Honey, is it size 40 or 42 underware you are into now”? I hope I never grow too old for such nonsense, I think the kids today haven’t a clue to having clean fun, but my 14 grandchildren know they are in for a different treat when they bring over a friend.
I bet none of you bounce down the stairs on your butt anymore.
i will always love pokemon.
Staring at the back of someone’s head to try and make them turn around…
Well, I’m gonna start doing the last one…
Making snow angels
I climb trees in the park, and sometimes, squirt unsuspecting pedestrians with a water pistol.
All of the above!!!
Tree Houses!!!
46yrs old.
Skipping stones. Throwing rocks into barrels, buckets, cans from a long distance.
Climbing trees.
Going to the toy section in stores and having light saber fights or bouncy around on the big bouncy balls.
Riding supermarket trolleys at high speed in empty aisles (with a cool wee handbrake turn parking stop)
Thanks. I really needed that right now.
I still enjoy taking a bath with lots of bubble bath. I still buy the bubble bath that comes in a fun cartoon character body and I fill my bath tub with toys and splash them around and have fun.
