I stand corrected. The last line of the post said he died on June 25, 2009. That is wrong! It only took 3 people to finally get it through my head that it was wrong. I had neglected to read it all the way to the bottom.
Sorry for the error. I put the correct date there.
Thanks Wanda... and everybody else who tried to point out my errors.

This reminds me of a good friend I had some years ago that passed away. I knew him as a kind old man, but his history still strikes me in awe. Perhaps you will enjoy it too.

Tony, What are you talking about? What spam? From what I understand this post is pretty accurate. It doesn't say he died when Michael Jackson died. It's just comparing the coverage of the two deaths.
It's not like he got NO coverage or attention. He received the Medal of Honor from the President of the United States.
Of course he didn't get the coverage Michael Jackson did. Most true heroes of his kind don't want that coverage. They're not media whores who crave the attention. They just did the job that they were required to do with the best of their abilities. Definitely a hero. But there's no spam in this post that I can see. Enlighten me please.

This just shows why things are in the shape they are... we don't have a clue as to what is really important and what is just flash... welcome to the decline of modern society people...
And thank you Mr. Freeman for your selfless act... the true hero's will be known in the end...

American hero? That man is a hero regardless of country. Amazing amount of heroism. I do hate that the media spend more time over some entertainment person than people that risk there lives commiting acts of heroism when they didnt need to. They were not ordered to but they did it because it was the right thing to do. I feel for soliders in WW1 an WW2 because they were drafted, they didnt want to fight, they had know choice. Atleast there are people like as that know about, communicate and keep there heroism alive when they are gone.

Lets not forget those in the Middle East who recently gave their lives to freedom. Freedom that made MJ's career possible.

The Ed Freeman story is true and he truly is a great American hero.
The story that he died on or about the same time as Michael Jackson though and not even mentioned in the news is false. He actually died last August (almost a year before Michael).
