Construction monster

An N.C. State University student faces criminal charges for what is best described as a “barrel monster” built out of construction barrels that towered for a while over Hillsborough Street.

Raleigh police believe the monster was the brainchild of Joe Carnevale, a 22-year-old junior majoring in history. It had a short lifespan, up for less than a day on May 31.

At least it got someone’s attention. Would have made me slow down.

That guy should be made to pay for the damaged cones, and then given a job with the DOT. What an effective way to make people slow down.

no kidding! Would have slowed me down, especially if they animated it somehow…umm next project

I understand the construction company wants Joe to re-construct the monster at their business site. I also understand that Joe has created a T-Rex Dinosaur before also. My son suggested that when Joe re-constructs the monster for them, That it would be FUNNY to have it look like the T-Rex was attacking the Hitch-Hiking Monster.Personally I Liked the monster & thought it was FUNNY !!!! TOO BAD the cops didn’t have any sense of humor, especially when the construction company that owned the barrels didn’t want to press charges. They should go get a coffe & donut and enjoy life once in a while. We can ALL use a GOOD laugh once in a while. YOU GO JOE !!!!! GOOD JOB. I just think it’s TOO BAD that Joe will probably have to pay a fine for giving everyone a GOOD LAUGH!
