Actually, in the sink pic. it is very likely that that is what the water looks like whenever you first turn on the sink. I live in Russia and have lived in some rather remote parts of the former Soviet Union. I used to live in a city on the Caspian Sea where the water looked like that EVERY TIME you turned on the sink. When I took a bath, I used to let the water run for 5 minutes before I plugged up the tub. Even after that the water was not totally clear.
