You’d be out of your MIND not to HEAD over for that deal.
And it’s in Jon’s neighborhood.
If they’re really so cheap, how come everybody doesn’t have one?
Or several?
Man does this bring back memories of St. Louis and getting stoned and cruising around drinkinf Drummon Bros beer. How old is this picture?
I thought this was torn down long ago.
Actually we used to get brain sandwiches at the Blackthorn bar in South St Louis 30 years ago. (Before it was full of SLU yuppies)
Thats drinking Drummond Borthers beer…
I guess it was too much beer!!
I didn’t even notice the St. Louis connection when I posted it. I was wondering where all that talk was coming from. I need to research that and see if I can figure out exactly where that was taken. That’s interesting.
I ran across this entry on brain sandwiches in St. Louis discussion: “a very common sandwich in STL around the turn of the century (1900). Yes, the large german population in STL was probably the instigator of such a delicacy. They were still pretty popular in the 1940s and I am sure you can still get one somewhere today. I do remember driving downtown for Cardinal football games with my Dad and passing a brick building on Chouteau Avenue with “Harvey’s Sandwhich Shop. Brains Sandwiches 25 cents” painted on the side. Of course it was no longer in business.”
I found that comment here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-309139.html
You can still get a brain sandwich at the Majestic on Euclid.
markus, not such a thing as too much beer! As for brain sandwiches, weeellllll …. Yuk! I’ve tried a lot of different food but I’d draw the line at that.
HAHA!
did anyone notice how it said “do NUTS?”
don’t get it? ahah braining is something only men can do..
Ahahaha, Ever been to Tim Horton’s?? You must be a man?
Hey, I posted that yesterday at myconfinedspace.com!
Bella,
I stand corrected.
But the other problem with brains is that all of my ex-girlfriends have said that all of my brains are in one spot.
Boy, do I feel stupid. I paid $.50 for mine, and I had to go in to get them, too.
