In fairness, shouldn’t you have, Nancy drilling won’t help, Pelosi; and Sen. Harry, oil is making us sick, up there also?

  • DJ

    What he ^ said.

Ron your right but the liberals never admit that they are wrong”its Bushs fault”and to be fair hes wrong on a lot of things too

  • Derek

    Speaking as a Liberal…

We’re not wrong, and it is Bush’s fault.

  • WooHoo

According to the inflation calculator: http://www.westegg.com/inflation/
    .
“What cost $.90 in 1992 would cost $1.35 in 2007.”
(It wouldn’t allow calculation for 2008)
    .
Pretty revealing isn’t it? Where is Bush from? Oh, that;s right, TEXAS.
    “Black gold, Texas tea”

  • WhatThe L

bush and bushet are sure smug

  • Justin

‘Course everyone forgets that the Republicans ran the Congress during the Clinton administration and the DEMOCRATS ran Congress during the Bush administration…..

(Presidents are figureheads; blame the CONGRESS where the REAL power lies.)

  • Sam

Yes, the price of oil has nothing to do with the exponential yearly rise in usage by of said oil in the last decade.

  • Sam

The rise in usage by China and India that is…. I’ll crawl back under my rock now.

  • Bootsie

    @Bootsie

shit, the Dems just took over the house 2 years ago. if you do the math, that’s not quite “during the Bush Administration”.

  • Bootsie

    correction: @Justin

sorry, busy at work and should be doing work instead of posting comments hahah!

  • infidel

Derek thats ok dude when the messiah gets in there and with the help of Pelosi/Reid you are gonna wish gas was 4 dollars a gallon

  • wot

    Wot?

What makes completely uninformed people want to talk of their arses? What was that old David Byrne line? If I’ve got nothing to say…

    Exponential increase in consumption?

Over the last 10 years world consumption has gone up from approximately 75m barrels/day to 88m barrels/day. Last time I looked that’s not quite exponential. Even the inflation calculator says 75 ten years ago should be 98 now. So much for that myth, eh.

But if your every fiber just attempts to defend your own ignorance and justify the mistakes you made that the rest of are now paying for… Who am I to complain? Oh yeah, one of the ones paying for your stupidity. Consider complaint filed in triplicate.

Should we even bring up little nits like the fact that the US has by oil industry estimates all of 3% of the world’s oil reserves?

Or that it uses approx 25% of the current production?

Or that the industry currently has under lease 66m acres (just in the lower 48 and off-shore, not even counting AK) that are not being used? They wouldn’t be pushing for more leases just to freeze out the potential of future competition would they? Nah. Republicans would never go for that, not from a major contributor, nah…

Or how about in the non transportation world, the fact that health insurance in the last 8 years has tripled? Can’t imagine why there are more uninsured now than then, can you? Progress from the compassionates.

Or how about the fact that a private university education has gone up over 50% in the last 8 years? No child left behind from the compassionates?

I just thank your imaginary friend for those $300 checks they give back every few years. They don’t insult my intelligence in the least… Well maybe just a little.

If you were stupid enough to vote for BushCo once shame on you, if you were stupid enough to do it twice maybe you should sit this election out and educate yourself even just a little before voting again. If you are still attempting to defend him then maybe you should do the rest of us a favor and burn your voter id card. Literally, we can’t afford your ignorance any longer.

  • markus

    wot.
I think you are on the wrong blog. Go back to the Daily KOS. You are way too intelligent for we slobs.
Oh yeah please read the National Review or something like that once in a while to get some balance.

Put a picture in front of everybody and they buy it without question. These gentlemen did not pose with these signs, they are obviously superimposed. I seriously doubt the $.89 picture was taken only 8 years ago as the average retail price in the USA for a gallon of gas in August of 2000 was about $1.35. (Here in California it was around $1.66)

If you are going to slam someone, at least do it with the truth…………

  • Good material seized the ssylochkoy!

  • That’s good man, keep it going.
