Website update

Well, things seem to be slowly getting back to normal here. I’m toying with the idea of a different template. I don’t know that I need 3 columns. I like to post larger pictures… some here are being cut off depending on what size monitor and/or window you’re using. I’m assuming most peole have a 17 inch or large monitor. I’m using two 19 inch monitors here, but I have a sidebar (that displays my bookmarks) open almost all the time, so that cuts down on page size.

So, just to warn you, things might be changing a little down the road. I’m also trying to get my Adsense ads working here. Gotta keep those funds coming in. Someone also suggested I put up a PayPal donation button, so I might try that too.

Thanks for hanging in there with me through the ordeal with the old site. And thanks to those who have helped spread the word about the move to the new URL. Folks like Kev at Nothing to Do With Abroath and the ever charming Miss Cellania just to name a couple that I know of.

As always… stay tuned.

I’d like to see 2 columns. I have you as a “fav” and view mostly on my laptop – so no 17″ screen here!

Left column could go down below the links on right.

Just a suggestion… go play, that’s half the fun.

I’ll be viewing no matter what, and since you’ve already shifted to this new site I can’t complain ..tho I am a creature of habit and hate change of any kind…

I vote for less than 3 columns, preferably moving the left column info to the right column and increasing the width of the center column.

Do you have any way of having comments post immediately like the old B&P?

  • Make sure its a dynamic width template, there are plenty. I use on my blog, web site is blogroll.hk

You should update your paid link on MyConfinedSpace.com. Not sure how much traffic you’re getting from that site, but since you’re paying for it, mind as well update it.

Also, I just gave you a “thumbs up” on my StumbleUpon toolbar. I’m sure if enough people do this, we’ll get that traffic up!

    A couple of things…..
1.)_I don’t pay anyone to post a link to my site, nor do I collect any fees for posting their links in my blogroll. I think most bloggers, (but there are exceptions) give credit to their sources and want to help promote other good sites.

2.) I’m still struggling with WordPress and how to use it. It is easy if you just go with the standard template, but I want to add my own header. I was lucky I got the current one to work. Still not able to get my Adsense ads working. As usual, the instructions are confusing to me. I know after I get it figured out then I’ll reread the instructions and it’ll become clear…. but that’s how things go with me. Plus, I just haven’t had too much time to mess with it.
    Thanks for reading and commenting.

please make the bitsandpieces banner clickable to bring us to the home page

  • Things are looking great! Congratulations on the move. I did a similar move (blogspot to wordpress) a couple of years ago, so if you need any help, please drop me an email.

    Ben,
As far as making the banner clickable, I don’t know how to do that yet. You can click on the HOME tab (or button) right under the logo to do the same thing.

  • I love your site and have been following for some time. Since I bought a Lenovo netbook I have had trouble looking at your weblog on my browser. Any chance you could make a skinier version for people using smaller screens?
